Organized Nature - forest in La Hulpe

Organized Nature

I was in a city called La Hulpe last weekend. In the best hotel of the city (there is only one) and it’s located in the forest.

So I got up early to get some photos. Unfortunately the sky was grey. But I read in a book that the colors are meant to come out better. Well it’s not totally wrong but the sky does look kind of boring. But it’s fall and the red and yellow leaves where awesome.

Walking through this part of the forest I saw the trees were planted in straight rows, it’s like organized nature.

  1. I like the mood in this picture! Some of my best photos in the woods have come when it was overcast out. I switch over to black and white film and it really creates some dramatic images! Did you add in the pinkish color to the photo or is that from combing the exposures?

  2. Frank, thanks for the nice comment. I did add a bit of pinkish hue to the image to enhance the colors of the red leaves. But don’t tell anyone.
