At the “Salon du Chocolat” in Paris you get to see chocolate everywhere and in all shapes. These particularly yummy marshmellow-in-milk-chocolate bears were lining walls looking particularly appetizing.
I had the chance to check out the Salon du Chocolat in Paris, everything you can imagine out of chocolate and mainly for the wealthy.
What struck me most was Akesson’s Peppered Chocolate, I bought a bar of it, it is a spicy peppered chocolate made with selected chocolate beans and pepper. It definitely has a pepper taste but in an interesting nice way. It’s not burning or disgusting. There is something there that makes the taste blend together well.
I got to taste lots of chocolates and shoot a few fun shots.
And if you’re in France one day, the Petit Ourson are pretty nice, if you have a sweet tooth.
mmm..sweet đŸ™‚
it’s almost Halloween time, so thanks for irritating my appetite. đŸ˜€
Yeah next time you come to France you gotta try these things. They’re addictive.
That sure does make quite the unique shot… Real nice Martin… It’s making me hungry though… lol..
You bet, and imagine walking through isles and isles of the stuff. It goes crescendo up and then after a while it becomes too much. Well it was great and this time it wasn’t just eye candy.
Discovered your blog maybe a month ago, and just want to drop a note to say how much I enjoy it. Love bokeh images…and makes me think that it’s been too long since I’ve been to Paris (yes, definitely adding this store to my list!)
Thanks a lot for the encouragement. Yes Paris is a magical city. Even living in it sometimes I wish I could spend all day shooting in the streets.
That is a gorgeous shot! I may try more close-ups and bokeh with my 50mm lens, though my camera body isn’t up to what yours can do! Is this new? Did you buy a 5DMk2? I’ve heard amazing things about it. Enjoy! I’m laid up after a foot operation for a while, so bokeh is something that I think I could handle getting around on crutches. Maybe my table tripod would work. Thanks for the great shot!
